Sara Carter
“The Promised Land,” 2025
Acrylic on unprimed linen
16 x 16 in.
Arcadia Art Consultancy is thrilled to announce Frequency Into Form, a special exhibition of works by abstract painter Sara Carter, presented in collaboration with the artist.
Carter, who lives and works in Austin, Texas, brings a nuanced and emotionally resonant approach to gestural abstraction. Her paintings do not illustrate—they transmit. Working in cycles and often in pairs, she creates compositions that reflect the rhythm of transformation, engaging themes such as grief, spirituality, and renewal. Carter’s command of color and material, combined with a deep trust in intuition, results in works that pulse with energy and invite quiet, personal engagement. Her practice is one of both immediacy and depth, offering space for viewers to locate themselves within the work.
Sara Carter’s paintings have been exhibited at de boer, Los Angeles, CA; Edward Cella Art and Architecture, Los Angeles, CA; di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art, Napa, CA; Octavia Art Gallery, Houston, TX and New Orleans, LA; Graystone Gallery, San Francisco, CA; the Monterey Museum of Art, La Miranda, Monterey, CA; Aureus Contemporary, USA; Octavia Gallery, Bath, United Kingdom. They have been acquired by di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art; Black Stone Minerals Company, Houston, TX; Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Commack Expansion, Commack, NY; and many other public, corporate, and private collections.
The exhibition is available to explore on our website or on our artnet page. Additional video and curatorial context is available upon request.
